Teeth to the Convention on Biological Diversity

May 2011. While an increasing number of countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America cast their own understanding of the Convention on Biological Diversity into regulations, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is preparing to support global enforcement of the Nagoya Protocol. During lengthy negotiations substantive and procedural issues have matured into submissions to WIPO’s General Assembly in September.
